1. What courses does Patsy and Rob's Academy of Beauty, a Pivot Point Member School offer, and how long are the classes?

Our cosmetology program is 1500 clock hours and is offered full-time days or evenings. The program is 45 short weeks with perfect attendance.

The Basic Manicuring Program is 400 Clock hours for quick start in your new career. This class is offered during the day and lasts for 12.5 weeks.


The Avanced Manicuring Program is a 600 clock hour program offered during the day and lasts for 20-weeks.


The instructor training program (for already licensed professionals) is a 600 clock hour program, and is 20 short weeks.


2. When do classes start?

We offer classes year round. Start days are every five weeks. (Deadline for the each class is two weeks prior to start date.)

4. What are the requirements to enroll?

The documents necessary to enroll include:
• Completed Enrollment Application
• Driver’s License, State ID or Birth Certificate
• Social Security Card
• GED, High School Diploma, College Transcript

• $100.00 enrollment fee
• $3.00 for Two passport type photos (2X2)
• $25.00 Money Order made payable to “Missouri Baord of Cosmetology".

5. Does the Academy of Beauty by Patsy and Rob, a Pivot Point Member school, offer Financial Aid? How can I obtain Financial Aid?

The Patsy and Rob's Academy of Beauty is approved by the United States Department of Education to offer the following federal financial assistance programs whereby an eligible student is awarded an outright grant or loan for post-secondary education. To be eligible to receive financial aid, a student must be enrolled as a regular student on a full time basis.

6. What is Pivot Point Member School Difference?

The Pivot Point Member School difference is creativity without limits. The Artistic approach guides students and salon professionals through the basic elements of design-form, texture, and color. They learn to visualize the elements as one, and then mix and match them to create a selection of hair designs that’s virtually endless.

7. Will I receive a diploma upon completion of the program?

Yes, a student will be considered a candidate for graduation when the following requirements are met:

• Completed documented clock hours for the contracted course of the student, as required by the State of Missouri and Pivot Point International.
• Pass all school exams, both written and practical with a minimum score of 75%.
• Pass a mock state board exam with a minimum score of 85%
• Pass a written State Law exam with a minimum of 75%.
• Complete all requirements as posted by the school, with a minimum score of 75% (both written and practical).
• Pay in full all costs as stipulated in your contract / agreement as well as any additional supply cost or over contract hours incurred while enrolled.
• Accepted level of attendance.

In addition, our Pivot Point Member School prepares a student for the State Board Licensure Exam to acquire a license to practice Cosmetology or Manicuring profession in the state of Missouri . You may practice in other states through a practice called “reciprocity.” 

8. Does the Academy of Beauty, a Pivot Point Member school, provide job placement assistance?

Yes, we offer lifetime job placement assistance to all of our graduates.

10. What additional courses does Pivot Point International offer?

We offer the Teacher’s Training Program for licensed Cosmetologists, and Nail Technicians. Additionally, continued education at Pivot Point International at their Chicago location. Upon completion of the Patsy and Rob's Academy of Beauty cosmetology courses and graduation, you will be awarded two $500 scholarships for this advanced training.
